Pastor Evelyn Deterville is a dedicated community leader, educator, and advocate for youth

empowerment based in Pensacola, Florida. She serves as the founder of STR8 UP Leadership

Academy, a black-collar alliance for general contractors focused on empowering and restoring

individuals with a passion for community building. Passionate about giving back, Pastor

Deterville is also the organizer of the First Friday of the Month Youth Night at the Dorrie Miller

Community Center, a monthly event designed to foster fellowship and positive engagement for

young people.

In addition to her work with youth, Pastor Deterville is committed to educational development,

exemplified by her creation of an after-school diversion program at Club Str8 Up, aimed at

teaching students about community responsibility and crime prevention. She is a recipient of the

By His Grace Scholarship from Pensacola State College, where she continues to enhance her

education to better serve her community.

Pastor Deterville’s work is inspired by her personal journey, including overcoming homelessness

while working as an essential worker, a story she shares to inspire others. Through her ministry

and community efforts, she remains dedicated to kingdom-building and making a lasting impact

on those she serves in Escambia and Surrounding Counties.
